Arbalou TendonResist Cheval is an equine supplement combining selected herbs, marine collagen, bromelain and mineral-rich ingredients. Its complementary formula provides nutritional support for the maintenance of tendons, ligaments, bones and other connective tissues.

Designed to complement a balanced feeding programme, Arbalou TendonResist supports horses during demanding workloads and periods of gradual return to activity.

Selected Botanicals for Equine Connective Tissue Support

Centella Asiatica – A Complementary Botanical Ingredient

Centella asiatica contains naturally occurring plant compounds, including triterpenes. It forms part of the botanical blend selected to complement nutritional support for connective tissue maintenance.

Chrysanthellum – A Source of Botanical Compounds

Chrysanthellum contains flavonoids and saponins. This botanical ingredient complements the other herbs, marine collagen and minerals in the TendonResist formula.

Nettle – Botanical and Mineral Support

Nettle provides naturally occurring minerals and plant compounds, contributing to the formula’s nutritional profile.

It complements the other ingredients in a feeding programme focused on normal tissue maintenance and overall equine well-being.

    Horsetail – A Naturally Silica-Containing Plant

Horsetail naturally contains silica, making it a complementary ingredient in this tendon and ligament support supplement.

It is combined with other selected botanicals and nutrients to support a balanced nutritional approach to connective tissue maintenance.

Bamboo – A Botanical Source of Silica

Bamboo is included as a source of silica. It complements horsetail, nettle and marine collagen in the formula.

The silica content depends on the bamboo ingredient used; a specific percentage should only be stated when confirmed by its technical specification.

    What Is Tendonitis in Horses?

Tendonitis refers to inflammation of a tendon. The broader term equine tendinopathy describes tendon disorders that can involve structural damage and changes in tissue quality.

Tendon injuries may develop through repeated overload or a sudden injury. Appropriate conditioning, workload management and veterinary assessment are important parts of managing tendon concerns.

Arbalou TendonResist provides complementary nutritional support for connective tissue maintenance, combining marine collagen with selected botanicals, including Centella asiatica, chrysanthellum, nettle, bamboo and horsetail.

Marine Collagen for Horses: Its Nutritional Role

Collagen is a major structural protein in tendons and ligaments, contributing to their mechanical properties.

The marine collagen in Arbalou TendonResist provides a dietary source of protein and amino acids. Alongside its botanical and mineral ingredients, it complements a balanced feeding programme focused on normal tendon, ligament and connective tissue maintenance.

Dietary collagen should not be presented as a guarantee of stronger tendons, injury prevention or faster healing. When an injury has been diagnosed, nutrition forms one part of the horse’s veterinary rehabilitation programme.

How to Recognise a Possible Tendon Injury

Signs that warrant veterinary assessment include:

    • Lameness: a change in your horse’s normal movement.

    • Local swelling or thickening: a change around the tendon.

    • Sensitivity to touch: discomfort when the affected area is examined.

    • Increased local heat: an area that feels warmer than usual.

The severity of visible signs can vary. A veterinary examination, sometimes including ultrasound, helps identify the affected structure and assess the injury.

Nutritional Support Alongside an Appropriate Exercise Programme

Arbalou TendonResist is a pelleted horse tendon and ligament supplement, easy to incorporate into the daily feeding routine.

Its combination of marine collagen, selected herbs and mineral-rich ingredients provides complementary nutrition for connective tissue maintenance.

For horses returning to activity after an injury, follow the veterinarian’s exercise and feeding recommendations. A supplement does not replace rest, monitoring or a prescribed rehabilitation programme.

    Frequently Asked Questions
