Arbalou Stomacalm – Gastric and Digestive Support Supplement for Horses

Arbalou Stomacalm is a complementary feed formulated to support gastric comfort, the normal integrity of the stomach lining and digestive balance in horses. Its comprehensive formula combines selected herbs, gel-forming fibres, algae, minerals and live yeast to provide nutritional support for horses with sensitive digestion.

With ingredients that form a viscous gel when hydrated, alongside soothing botanicals and digestive support nutrients, Arbalou Stomacalm helps maintain your horse’s everyday digestive comfort and well-being.

    Selected Herbs for Gastric Comfort

Marshmallow – Naturally Rich in Mucilage

Marshmallow contains mucilage, a plant substance that forms a viscous gel in contact with water. This gel-forming characteristic makes it a useful ingredient in formulas designed to support the comfort of sensitive digestive mucous membranes.

Fenugreek – Appetite and Digestive Support

Fenugreek provides fibre and naturally occurring plant compounds. It complements the formula’s nutritional support for appetite, digestive function and normal intestinal transit.

Aloe Vera – A Botanical Ingredient for Digestive Comfort

Aloe vera contains naturally occurring polysaccharides and is traditionally used for its soothing qualities.

It complements the mucilage-rich plants and soluble fibres in Arbalou Stomacalm to support gastric and intestinal comfort.

    Gel-Forming Fibres and Complementary Ingredients

Psyllium – Soluble Fibre for Digestive Support

Psyllium, also known as ispaghula, is rich in soluble fibre. It absorbs water and forms a thick gel, contributing to the formula’s gel-forming properties and supporting normal intestinal transit.

Lecithin – Phospholipids for Gastric Support

Lecithin provides phospholipids, components of cell membranes and the stomach lining’s lipid barrier. It complements the other ingredients in this gastric support formula.

    Pectin – A Gel-Forming Soluble Fibre

Pectin forms a gel when hydrated. It works alongside the other soluble fibres to support digestive comfort and normal digestive function.

Feed-Grade Clay – An Ingredient with Adsorptive Properties

Feed-grade clay has adsorptive properties and complements the fibres, botanicals and minerals in Arbalou Stomacalm.

Algae and Minerals for a Balanced Formula

Lithothamnion – A Natural Source of Calcium Carbonate

Lithothamnion is a calcareous red alga that naturally provides calcium carbonate, a compound with acid-buffering properties.

Bladderwrack – Marine Fibre and Trace Elements

Bladderwrack provides naturally occurring trace elements and fibre, complementing the formula’s nutritional profile.

Alfalfa – Nutritional and Buffering Support

Alfalfa provides protein, fibre and minerals, including calcium. Its natural buffering capacity makes it a useful component of feeding programmes intended to support gastric comfort.

Fish Protein Hydrolysate – Digestible Protein Support

Fish protein hydrolysate supplies digestible peptides and amino acids, providing nutrients involved in normal tissue maintenance.

It complements the botanical ingredients, fibres and minerals in this equine digestive support supplement.

Yea-Sacc® Live Yeast for Digestive Balance

Yea-Sacc® contains live Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast, included to support a balanced digestive microbiota and fibre digestion.

This live yeast complements the formula by supporting:

    • Normal digestive microbial balance.

    • Fibre digestion and feed utilisation.

    • Digestive stability during changes in routine or feeding.

    Frequently Asked Questions
